Anissa Ferrell, M.Ed – Vice Chair

Anissa Ferrell has developed an effective and professional background in Business Administration and Information Systems Technology. As a successful educator and entrepreneur, Anissa understands the current demand for increasing computing capacity and continues researching new and improved technological applications and programs to assist businesses and educational institutions. She enjoys fostering and promoting the development of close relationships between students and instructors.

Anissa’s has an extensive volunteer history at which spans over 30 years. Through her involvement in the community and with various organizations that focus on children, women, seniors, homeless citizens and the unemployed, she continues to make a positive impact in these areas of need.

As the owner of Quality Professional Staffing Services, she is committed to providing her clients with professional, ethical and quality business and staffing services without exception! Anissa’s expertise in technology, business development and education were gained while employed at Fortune 500 companies that included IBM, MCI, Choice-Point and TIC/Lucent Technology. With more than 20 years of higher educational experience, Anissa holds/has held positions as the Director of Admissions and Recruitment at Morris Brown College; Internal Awareness and Engagement Vice Chair; CIS professor; and is currently the dual enrollment coordinator at Atlanta Technical College. As an educator at heart, Anissa is encouraged and inspired to be committed to strengthening her efforts in developing and empowering lifelong learners as global change agents to prepare them for a world that is increasingly more diverse and inequitable.

Anissa holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Texas College; a master’s degree in Information Technology Education from American InterContinental University; and a Certification in Leadership in Higher Education from HERS at Wellesley College.  She is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Business Administration and Information System Management at Walden University. Anissa has received distinguished recognition and appreciation as a Board Member at the Villages of Carver YMCA; National Alumni Association of Texas College–Vice President of the Georgia Alumni Chapter; Atlanta Commission On Women–Vice Chair; Atlanta Public School CTAE Advisory Board; Booker T. Washington High School Legacy Foundation; Women in Technology Chapter Advisory; and the National Association of Professional Women.
