Mr. Solomon is a native Atlantan. One of six children of Bishop Frank Solomon and Mae Solomon. He grew up on the west side of Atlanta completing his early education at E.R. Carter Elementary School and Booker T. Washington High School where he was active on the football team and was honored to be Student Body President his Senior year. After Graduation in 1966, he went on to earn a BS degree in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1970, the first African American to graduate with this degree and the fifth African American to graduate from the University. During Tech’s early years of integration, he was one of the founding members and first president of the Afro-American Association, an organization thnat is still active on Techs campus as the Black Student Union. Currently he is the Principal of HFS Management Consultants. A consultant service he formed in 2003. Since his retirement from active leadership of food manufacturing and distribution companies, he has focused on using his experiences to work with food manufacturing and private equity companies on business evaluation, strategic planning, as well as operational support.
